About Duong jewelry
The Duong Jewelry brand was established in 2012 by sisters Nga Duong & Hoa Duong. Duong's first flagship boutique is situated inside Hoi An’s Gemstone Art Museum, a private museum showcases hundreds of gemstone specimens and sculptures collected by the sisters' father, Mr Dzung Duong. He is one of the leading figures in the gems & gemology scene in Vietnam in the early 90's of the 20th century, who established the first gem identification laboratory in the country in 1992.
Duong's second flagship boutique opened its door in Ha noi in 2019, and the third one followed in 2022 in Ho Chi Minh city.
Duong recently has a new business entity based in Houston and the Duong sisters plan for a new boutique in the US soon.
All Duong's jewelry are designed by the elder sister, Milan-based artist Nga Duong.
Hoa Duong obtained a law master in France before joining Duong team in 2012 as Sales and Production manager. She’s recently moved to Houston.
The designer/creative director
The creative mind behind Duong Jewelry is Nga Duong, who grew up in Hanoi amidst her father’s extensive gemstone collection.
In 2001, Nga graduated from the Hanoi Industrial Art College and then went to Italy to attend a three - year course on jewelry design at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan.
She returned to Vietnam in 2012 and created her empire in picturesque Hoi An using the gemstones in her father’s collection. In her artwork, European and Asian cultures blend into one unique style, a fusion of East and West, bold & feminine, future forward while embracing the past. Each gorgeous piece of statement jewelry is handmade exclusively in Duong's workshop in Ha noi, using gemstones mostly from Vietnam.
Nga currently shares her time between Vietnam and Italy.
